EVA BARALLAT GIMENO

Eva Barallat-Gimeno is an associate teacher in the Faculty of Nursing. She has extensive professional experience of 13 years in a home-care team caring for geriatric, chronic and palliative patients. She also has extensive experience working with an end-of-life team in the Hospital Arnau de Vilanova. She has been a member of staff of the Hospital Santa María-GSS which administers socio-sanitary services (geriatric, chronic and palliative care). She has specialized in palliative care at the University of Barcelona financed by the Health area of Lleida and the OMS. Eva is also a member of the Spanish Association of Nurses and palliative carers and member of the Scientific Committee of the Catalan Association of palliative carers. She has been financed by the College of Nurses to carry out a research project focusing on home care. She is a researcher in the Grupo GESEC and participated in TOY (Together Old and Young): the project of Intergenerational learning which involved young children and older people. She is a researcher in the project (IP) ANIMATE: intergenerational community for company knowledge Transfer (AAL- 7th FP).
